I did this quite a long time ago so im not sure what i used but i can give you guys an idea!
take a color a lot lighter than your skin tone.. i used a matte color from my ELF 100 palette i packed the color on pretty densely for an opaque look.. then i took a dark cool toned brown and put it in the crease only i didn't do an outer v i was going for a cut crease look i used a black liquid liner and black mascara
for the lips i used a blue toned red because blue toned reds complement her skin tone... i don't remember what i used but just pick a red that compliments you!
Haha as soon as i got done with this look she started posing like Marilyn Monroe, but I hope you enjoyed!
I LOVE Makeup and I love experimenting and working with other people! enjoy!

Just Getting Started The Basics:Prime time Primer!
Let's talk Primer... primer is important weather it's eyeshadow primer or a face primer..
Today we are talking about Face Primers
it preps the skin smoothing it out and filling in fine lines giving you a better base for foundation.. and there are many to choose from.. you have to find the one that is right for you.
oily/combination skin types should look for a oil free primer that makes the skin matte,
dry skin types should look for something that provides moisture and a brightening agent, but if you have sensitive skin i would be careful and make sure that you are testing out different primers because you don't want to spend money on one that is not going to work for you.
I love primers and they do the job well and are necessary! plus if you don't want to spend 30-80 dollars the drugstore brands have great alternatives!
Just make sure to do all the research that is necessary. I do my research on Youtube it is the BEST beauty tool you can have. Knowledge is power ladies!

Just getting started: the basics. the foundation of foundation
Foundations are really tricky. first you have to find the right shade then after finding a shade that matches you have to make sure that it's the right foundation for you
I was "Blessed" with very oily skin, so it's hard for me to find a foundation that works for me... the one i have found is Revlon's colorstay oily/combination formula
but how do you know what skin type you are? here are some hints
if after 2 to 3 hours after washing your skin has a sheen to it you have oily skin, if after the same amount of time passes and you just have an oily t-zone you have oily-combination skin if in the same time frame passes and nothing happens.. lucky you. you have normal skin if you notice any flaking you have dry skin.. it's not hard to figure out..
if you have oily or oily combination i would recommend Revlon Colorstay or Makeup forever's Mat Velvet+ depending on your price range... and make sure you pick up a setting powder... with normal or dry skin i would go with something like Nars Sheer Glow or Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup or Covergirls Nature Luxe. Application is also tricky... my experience with conventional foundations brushes is not a good one.. it cakes it on and makes ones face look extremely streaky and uneven... go with a sponge or a flat top kabuki or my favorite my fingers. your fingers are going to make the product melt into your face better and give you a really nice natural finish just make sure to have clean fingers! I hope this was helpful and if you have questions feel free to ask and i will answer as best as i can... :)
